Guidelines for a productive photoshoot
- Arrive on time.
- For children it is recommended Mom/Dad stay out of the childs’ sight when shooting is taking place. Kids tend to perform better without a parent watching. The less eyes on them, the more comfortable they usually are. This almost always results in a higher percentage of strong shots that are captured. Take a walk or watch from a distance & let Nicole work with bringing out the best in your child.
- Your wardrobe should be ironed/steamed prior to the shoot. You will be outdoors on location and will have not time or ability to iron clothing.
- Hair should be freshly colored and cut. Facial & body hair should be groomed prior to shoot. Photoshop can’t fix an overdue color or cut.
- If you are not using a hair/makeup artist, arrive hair and makeup ready for camera. Bring your makeup and hair products with you to touch up as needed
- If you have hired a hair/makeup artist it is your responsibility to let her know if you want to change anything about your look prior to Nicole shooting you. Don’t be afraid to speak up; we want you to be pleased with the end result and once the photos are taken it’s too late to make changes.
- Nails and toes should be manicured/polished; neutral tones are usually best.
- Bring waters and snacks with you, particularly when shooting in summer months or multiple looks. Time will not permit stopping for lunch.
- Bring a variety of wardrobe choices in varied colors and styles.
- Please respect the time of your team and limit cell phone use.
- Bring accessories and props as you desire for use during your session.
- Arrive with a good nights’ sleep and a positive attitude, your images will reflect this!
